The Runabout 19, called "Paraiso" is estimated to have been built in 1944 by the Swiss boat building company Müller AG Einigen. In 2008 that company merged with Hächler Bootbau AG. The Runabout 19 is 6 metres long and 2 metres wide and made of mahogany wood. The 120 HP engine from the manufacturer OMC is working. The Runabout 19 comes from a collection of seven historic motorboats found at the Dresden shipyard in Germany. How the boats got to Dresden is not clear. However, it is certain that the boats were built at renowned Swiss shipyards, such as Faul AG from Zurichsee (known for the inimitable Swiss-Craft types).
The Runabout 19 is in good condition and has always been well maintained. Some wooden planks have been replaced, the engine has been overhauled, a new stern has been made and the electrical system and bilge pump have been renewed. The boat has always been stored in a winter storage. In 2019 the wooden hull is completely repainted.
The trailer is part of the sale. The brand of the trailer is FiberLine GmbH, FL 1800.
The viewing day for the Runabout 19 is on Saturday 27 June 2020 between 11 and 14 hours in Dresden (DU).
