In 1993, Grand Banks pioneered the modern interpretation of the lobster boat as a stylish and powerful cruising yacht what many now refer to as a Downeast cruiser. Blending a refined nautical sensibility with pulse-quickening speed, the Eastbay Series continues to ignite the spirit of todays discerning yachtsman. With its Hunt Associates hull, teak toe rails, stylish, handcrafted interiors and a powerful pair of diesels underfoot no other boat combines ageless design and high performance like this.

Standard Flybridge:
The standard flybridge for the 46FB includes an L-settee aft to port and a single Stidd helm seat at the centerline.
Optional Flybridge:
The optional flybridge layout adds a second Stidd helm seat to starboard and a locker aft of that starboard helm seat that can house an optional refrigerator or icemaker.
Standard Main Deck:
The standard main deck plan for the 46FB features a galley-down layout. In the salon, a U-settee sits to port surrounding a teak high-low table. Opposite is a straight settee, just aft of the Stidd helm seat. Also in the standard arrangement, a bench seat is located opposite the helm chair, fronted by a built-in chart table. The aft salon door opens to a large cockpit with aft-facing padded seating.
Optional Main Deck:
In the optional layout, the galley moves up to the aft end of the salon, with pass-through access to the cockpit through a retractable salon window. To starboard is refrigeration and galley countertop. Between this and the helm seat is more storage and an entertainment center; to port, the main settee and table move forward and sit on a platform for great visibility.
Standard Lower Deck:
Standard lower deck arrangements in this deckplan include a down galley to port that is open to light and air from above, across from a starboard-side guest stateroom with two twin berths and single-door entry. Farthest forward is the master stateroom with queen island berth and private en-suite head with enclosed shower. The guest head opens off the starboard side of the companionway.
Remarkable for a boat of this size, an amazing storage and utility room sits amidships for added storage, tool room, fishing gear, pantry, laundry (with optional washer/dryer) or any other purpose that suits your cruising needs.
Optional Lower Deck:
This optional layout is similar to the galley-down version above above, except that the guest stateroom layout changes. The berth is replaced by an outboard convertible settee, which can easily pull out to create a berth for sleeping. A fold-up desk is included along the forward bulkhead, and the single cabin door is replaced by sliding pocket doors. Keeping the doors open creates a wonderfully spacious landing, making below-deck accommodations seem even larger.
Note that with the convertible office option a second guest head is not available; instead, access to the port-side master head is gained though a second guest entrance off the companionway.
Three-Stateroom Lower Deck:
Selecting the galley-up main deck option makes room below for a third stateroom and an amazing amount of accommodations for a 46-foot yacht. This three-cabin, two-head layout still maintains the mid-ship storage/utility space (see "Standard Lower Deck," below).
Lower Deck with Crew Quarters:
Optional crew quarters can take the place of the utility room in any of the down-galley lower deck arrangements on the 46FB (shown here with the Standard Lower Deck Layout). Accessed through lift-up stairs from below this option provides a single berth and head, all discreetly tucked under the salon sole.
Overview:
The highly-acclaimed, Zeus-powered 46 Eastbay is now available from Grand Banks in a new flybridge model. Down below, the 46FB much like her predecessor: great visibility, generous accommodations, signature handcrafted furnishings.
Up top, youll find a large and well-designed flybridge, with a centerline Stidd helm seat and room for an optional second one to starboard. A large L-settee surrounds a hand-made teak table at the aft port quadrant of the bridge, and the entire overhang provides a good measure of protection to the cockpit belowwhile still leaving plenty open to enjoy the sunshine.
